We Are Thankful For...

We spent the week preparing for our Thanksgiving Program. The children made hand dipped candles, homemade butter and place-mats. We made thankful turkeys and made our Pilgrim and Indian costumes. We enjoyed seeing everyone that was able to come to our program. Here are several things that the children are thankful for:

Another Busy Week

The author of the month was Mo Willems. We read many of his books. Some of our favorites are:

Don't Let the Pigeon Eat the Cookie! - Nate
Don't Let the Pigeon Eat the Hot Dog!  - Katie
Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! - Ben
The Duckling Gets a Cookie!? - Connor
My Friend is Sad! - Sarah

We ended our week with a guest reader Andrew Vorthman (Mrs. Vorthman's son). He read us The Duckling Gets a Cookie!?

On Tuesday our class got to take part in a mock election. Each child got the opportunity to vote for the president of their choice and received a special sticker that said I Voted! The notes were tallied and Governor Mitt Romney was the winner.
